    Bump mapping is so outdated.Imagine what you could replace bump mapping with given the power of AI. Most of the data of a complex object does not need to be data wise in full 3D. Why just a simple basic outline of the shape needs to be 3d in data form the more complex parts of the surface model can be in 2.5 d thats one XY mapping for convexed and concaved depth mapping and XY mapping for colouring, overall that's less data and triggering events in the depth mapping in relation to transformations in the simple outline model could be simpler than transforming all those triangles. you could also use a second XY mapping to represent interference, this sort of effect would give you a better representation of cloves truly worn on a person or for better hair or more subtle water patterns.

    Talking about the physics correction on the motion of the character around uneven surfaces (5:00) is a little undermined by her feet clipping through at least 3 steps as she goes up into the dark cave/temple (5:10) The graphics of the backgrounds looks amazing, the lighting is fantastic, but the limitation is the physics and has been that way for a while.

    I try building a big sphere for the size of the Earth, offset the center of the sphere so you are on the surface of it. But this makes the sphere flickering.

    and if you want ot be CHEAP and not pay for world creator try this link make sure to export as greyscale heightmap azgaar.github.io/Fantasy-Map-Generator/ then make sure you save as a png then you can use custom materials and physics assets to make real wacky terrain jsut here for helping cut costs :P

    How about custom points of gravity? This style game design opens up need of multiple central points of mass and gravity, I think it would be really cool.

    It would be cool if there was built in voxelization for aspects like terrain. It would open up a lot of possibilities for destructable terrain, real planets and of course visuals

    This is not really a game engine, at least for now, as the computing power required to render this must be near unimaginable. UE4 was quite poorly optimised, so I can only imagine how this would run on an average PC. As of writing, this would be near unusable for game design. It's more like "How games would look like if everyone had PCs from the future" engine. The only purpose I can think of is showing, what modern shaders are capable of, or using it for movie effects. As of now, engines like Source 2, which provides impressive graphics and physics, while being incredibly well optimised, are more relevant for game design. So, in conclusion, while Unreal Engine 5 looks incredible and I applaud to all of the developers, I don't think it could really be usable for designing regular games.

    As much as I appreciate all the additional information the tutor was providing here, the whole video still felt a bit chaotic. Giving the audience information that isn't really needed at the moment, bloats the tutorial unnecessarily. I wish it was a bit more streamlined and rather straight to the point. Still love this tutorial series nonetheless!

    I am sure am not the only one who wish if the whole planet showed in this video is available as a "Player Area" right? My suggestion for a solution is * sadly I lack the know how to do it, will appreciate if someone interested to test my theory * to create the same map as in the video, then add a collision box at the edge of the player area box, where when player hits it, it will transfer them to next level which is basically the very same map, but the next playable square map......anyone wanna test that?!!

    Awesome! Its cool to see one of the few things Star Citizen does somewhat well be explored in the much better Unreal Engine. cool stuff like this video will undoubtedly lead to similar advancements in solar system scale planets in future Unreal builds.
